Damein Schitter, Student Intern

Damein is a counseling student intern completing his Master’s in Clinical Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University, a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Damein integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in his work with clients. He enjoys walking with individuals and couples through challenges related to anxiety, relationships, and vocational discernment, helping them find clarity and connection in the midst of change.

Before pursuing counseling, Damein served as a pastor for seventeen years in Missouri, California, and Florida. He has been married for nineteen years and is a proud father of five children, ranging from toddler to teenager. His life and work are shaped by a deep desire to see people flourish in every area of life.
