Jackson Elling, RMHCI

Jackson graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary with his master’s degree in counseling, and he is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern pursuing licensure. He grew up in Peachtree City, a small Georgia community where most families own golf carts and drive them to school, the grocery store, church, and everywhere in between. He loves music, watching sports, and going on road trips, just to name a few. He is married to his wife, Rebecca, and loves to talk in funny voices and sing silly songs with her around their home.

When he was 17, Jackson was diagnosed with a degenerative disease, and he now uses a wheelchair. This trying experience has been teaching him to find profound meaning within his pain and let it push him to trust in Jesus all the time. He finds tremendous purpose and value in drawing near to others who are suffering, struggling, and hurting, and being with them as a fellow journeyer and insightful guide.

Jackson aims to help clients cultivate awareness and understanding of their stories, past trauma, and relational wounds while also equipping them with tools to help alleviate their present suffering. His approach to counseling draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other theories and modalities.
