Selena Holston-Gabriel, RMHCI

Selena Holston-Gabriel is currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern for Foundation Counseling Center and is pursuing state licensure as LMHC in Florida. As a counselor, Selena is committed to the holistic well-being of individuals and families and desires to use her skills in therapeutic relationships to offer hope, health, and healing to hurting people. Selena has a Christian worldview and she offers spiritual integration in counseling for clients that are looking for that. She is especially concerned for women and children/youth navigating crisis and trauma.

Selena prioritizes the therapist-client relationship and incorporates a trauma-informed lens to therapy modalities like DBT, CBT, attachment-based, polyvagal theory (understanding anxiety and the nervous system), and solution-focused treatment.

Selena has a strong interest in maternal health and supporting women experiencing identity shifts that come with pregnancy (perinatal), postpartum, menopause, and aging/retirement. Selena has completed additional training in Anxiety, Gottman Level 1, Prepare-Enrich (Couples), and Psychological First Aid.

Selena specializes in supporting women through life’s most challenging transitions, including crisis, trauma, abuse, parenting concerns, separation, and divorce. She is also experienced in working with children and adolescents and helping individuals manage anxiety.

Her areas of focus include pregnancy, infertility, perinatal and postpartum concerns, menopause, trauma recovery, and major life transitions. Selena also provides counseling for individuals, couples, and families navigating relationship challenges, separation, and divorce.

Selena graduated Asbury Theological Seminary in August 2025, where she completed a MA in Mental Health Counseling. Selena is also a children’s author, children’s/youth advocate, international relief and missions mobilizer, community organizer, Christian minister, and change catalyst. She served children and families on the front lines of international relief work, compassionate ministry, global missions partnerships, and community development projects in the U.S. and throughout Latin America for many years.
