Yates Boykin, RMHCI

Yates is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. He earned his Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary and also holds a Master of Education from Union University. Before entering the counseling field, Yates spent several years teaching in both middle- and high-school settings, an experience that deepened his commitment to helping adolescents and their families thrive.

Yates is passionate about guiding youth, adults, and families toward healing and growth through a distinctly relational lens. He believes we are created for connection—with God, with ourselves, with one another, and with the world—and that emotional and spiritual health flourish when those connections are restored. Yates utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of his clients while integrating faith and evidence-based practices. His clinical interests include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, family conflict, relationships, and life-stage transitions.

Yates lives in Citrus County with his wife and their two children. Outside the office, he enjoys reading, exploring new restaurants, and spending slow, unplugged time with his family and friends.
